Every year, thousands of archaeological objects are found by members of the public and metal detectorists. These finds can give us a window into the past; providing clues as to how and where people used to live and about the types of objects they made and used.
Finds Days are an opportunity for members of the public to drop off their objects and treasure items for identification and recording on to the Portable Antiquites database. For more information on PAS please go to the website finds.org.uk/.
Booking is strongly advisable by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org and please bring along details of where the object was found, (ideally a grid reference) and landowner details for treasure.
