Dr Robert Sutcliffe (Chairman)
Chartered Accountant and Naval Historian who has strong financial and general management, leadership and governance skills, developed in both private sector and the NHS. More recently he has used his experience as a business adviser on Strategic planning, Business development, Business recovery, Management of acquisition and disposal process and Management of corporate change. Author of his first book British Expeditionary Warfare, The Defeat of Napoleon, 1793 – 1815 will be published later this year.
Sue Shave (Director)
Sue is a museum professional with 30 years experience in independent museums around the country including the Archaeological Resource Centre in York, the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, Thinktank, the Birmingham Museum of Science and Discovery, Cold Harbour Mill and most recently as Museum Director of Chiltern Open Air Museum for 13 years. Sue moved to Bucks County Museum Trust on 1 August 2017 as the new Museum Director.
Bill Chapple, OBE
Bill has been a Buckinghamshire County Councillor since 1977. He is the cabinet member for Planning and Environment and serves on the boards of a number of community organisations.
Hattie Llewelyn-Davies, OBE
Hattie has a background in health and housing. She has lived locally all her life and first visited the museum over fifty years ago.
James is a marketer specialising in the hospitality sector, skilled in the application and use of digital media.
Mike was paralysed whilst directing operations for an NGO in a warzone, he is now a trustee of various charities in the disability sector and those relating Paralympics.
Nick’s career was in Human Resources and in the Life Sciences field. He is also a Trustee of the College of Medicine
Simon is the father of two boys. He is passionate about heritage and cultural engagement with communities.
