Mick Hutton, Exhibitions Officer


Mick joined the Museum in 1983. He started off as a telephone engineer, doing an apprenticeship and studying at Oxford College of Further Education. He then spent six years working in this country, Europe, Israel and Australia. He has been a fruit picker, hospital porter, furnaceman, lorry loader, factory worker, picture seller and a vineyard pruner.




Arwen James Finds Liaison Officer

Arwen joined the museum staff in 2016 after working as an Assistant in the Portable Antiquities Scheme (PAS), Winchester and Sussex offices. Her interests include Medieval coinage and archaeological outreach. To contact her, please email:, or see the PAS page.






Sarah has a BA Music, BSc Zoology, PGCE in Primary School Teaching and Msc Conservation and International Wildlife Trade. With an extensive background in teaching, she joined the Museum in 2015 and now manages the creative learning and engagement, including the wondercrump school and family workshops in the Roald Dahl Children’s Gallery.
